My brother bought a house 20 minutes outside of Las Vegas. We went another 20 minutes out and found a lot of cool trails. Lots of sharp rocks. Anyway, this was my first time off-roading and just wanted to chime in and share my thoughts.

I was really impressed with the power this truck (05 KC SE 4X4 6spd) has. I pulled some pretty steep hills and didn't even feel them. I was barely pressing down on the throttle and the incline offered no resistance. Also, everyone seems to complain about the gearing of 1st gear. I never never shared that opinion, and i thought it was perfect for off-road conditions. I tend to think that those that complain about it don't use their trucks as trucks. Anyhow, when the trails ended and the trail-blazing began, it was quite clear that our trucks need a lift. I did the best I could through the rocky terrain, but I quickly reached a point where I couldn't negotiate those rocks without incurring significant sheet metal damage. My brother in his stock 03 taco was able to get over them though. When we got back, I got a tape out and found he had 3 more inches than me with respect to the height of the rocker panel.

I just wanted to throw my 2 cents in. The Frontier sure seems like a tough and capable truck.

I don't think there are any fabricators that have any aftermarket skids out yet for the new Frontiers(05-06). All of the websites I've looked at say that their skids are going to be out soon, just like all of the other aftermarket accesories for these trucks. It seems that all of the companies that make offroad parts for Nissan trucks are making parts for the Xterra first!! Screw the Xterra, make Frontier parts!! AAAARRRGGGHHHH!!

The link below is from a company that apprently makes them, or is supposed to make them. I haven't called or e-mailed them to ask. The page itself only says Xterra, but on the link before that page, it said "Pricing 05-06 Xterra & Frontier."

Man, I swear with this truck. Its either no one makes anything for the new Frontier, or they say they do, but who knows when the actual product is actually available for anyone to buy.

Yes Blackpanther skids will work. I believe they have all of them ready for the Frontier except for the transfer case. My next mod.

As for the rocker panels a good set of sliders work wonders.

Yeah I saw the BlackPanther skids but I wasn't sure they would work with the Frontier. Its good to know they do. Is this typical for a lot of the aftermarketparts, I mean fitting on the Xterra and the Frontier? I like this bumper too: http://www.purenissan.com/winch_bumper4.htm

It would be cool if it fit the Frontier!!

Yeah, that's a nice bumper. I don't know about Calmini, but I think the Shrockworks front bumper for the Frontier is 'supposed' to be out sometime soon. It is frustrating sometimes at the speed at which some of these companies are bringing products out for the Frontier. But eventually, I hope, we will have lot's of aftermarket parts to choose from. I guess that's the price we have to pay for not being as popular as some of the other midsize trucks out there.

I personally think Nissan needs to promote the Frontier a little more. I think I have probably seen two Frontier commercials since I've owned mine.

Hey guys the plates I offer ( BP Armor) do fit on the Fronty's the only thing different is the T/C plate and as tank skid.

Here is a shot of the plates mounted on a 06 Frontier.

The reason I have never came here before was no ones has e-mailed me until recently. I have sold to 2 owners of Fronty's so far of the 05 models and more for the older models.

Sorry about the lack of info on my site. The new site will be up in under a week. With that will be new pricing as well.

Thanks,
Marcel

Marcel,
So the plates that fit the 05-06 Frontiers are the Front Skid and Oil pan/Engine skid? Will you be doing any other plates like T/C, gas tank and rear diff for the 05-06 Frontier?

Will BP do a group buy??

Yes I will be doing the T/C plate and also the gas tank in the future. Not sure about the rear diff yet as I will have to see about that.

The Intro Prices are the best prices. I offer them for a short period of time then they go up. I can do group buys but it won't be as good as the intro prices.

Thanks,
Marcel

Hopefully soon I can get them ordered. I've heard good things about them from Xterra and Frontier owners.

I hope you look hard into doing a rear diff plate, as it is a concern for many of us.

I agree. If the front skids are already made, it makes no sense to NOT make skids for the rear. What would be the point? Its like filling up a 20 gallon gas tank w/ 10 gallons of gas. Please say YES you'll make them!!!!!
