Here is a combo I've not seen on this site. Maybe it will help another member who is unwilling to compromise on fender clearance, fuel economy, speedo accuracy, noise, or ride quality! I've loved the look of these wheels since I first saw them, and I finally found a deal I couldn't pass. This is the tallest/widest/lightest premium grade all terrain tire I could find that would fit with no lift and no rub.

These tires are 0.5" taller and have 0.5" wider contact patch than the factory 265/75r16. OD is 32.1", tread width 8.5". GPS says I'm traveling 2% faster than indicated on the speedometer.
Weight is only up 7lb. per corner (3lb. per tire, 4lb. per wheel).
Fuel economy should be a wash between the additional weight and higher effective gear ratio.
No rub--factory +30 offset keeps everything in the right place. I'm just not into having rubber out past the fender. I still have minimum clearance of 0.25" at the very tightest points in the steering range.
The difference in ride quality/shock absorption is imperceptible. Better handling is the only indication that the tires different.
Dueler A/T REVO2s are quiet. I ran my old set all the way to the bars. They wore down perfectly smooth and level and I was astonished that they never got noisy. (I've had 205/60r15s that made more noise. )
There is significantly less lean/roll when cornering.
I love the look of these wheels with the other gray trim on the truck.
I had to paint the center caps to match, which was a chore, but turned out better than I'd even hoped for.
I picked up a full set of tpms sensors so I could mount these up without having to pull my old ones first. Worked out well.
I'm really pleased with the overall results.

Looks nice! I'm not a big fan of larger diameter wheels, but your truck looks really good with that combo. I'm also intrigued by that tire size you're ab;e to fit. Those intermediate sizes are hard to come by for 16" wheels...
looks sharp!
Thank you!

Yeah, really, a 17" would have been ideal with a 285/70 but this truck sees a lot more asphalt than dirt and I really like the spoke design. I spent a lot of time, took lots of measurements, and even did some CAD work to ensure the fit would be good.
Looks good. I'm actually thinking about trading my 18" factory wheels (same ones you have) for factory 16" wheels. It would be hard for me to do unless the other person was close to me.
Awesome! Those wheels were the main reason I opted for the Sport Package, they are easily the best looking wheel for the Frontier, factory or aftermarket imho.

I agree completely. I'd love to have those on my truck rather than the stock Pro4X wheels. Never really cared for the stock Pro4X wheels.
I would like to trade somebody for 16" or 17" stock wheels if they would fit my truck.

OP, your wheels & truck look awesome!!! I love those. Im trying to sell both sets of my 16"/17" OEM wheels. I want to get the Nismo wheels or these. Good clean look! I would put some adjustable Bils on the front & level it out, other than that, your truck is [email protected]$$!!

Ive got the 17" LE wheels off my 08 & I have a set of 08 16 " SE wheels that i'm selling if your interested. I'll ship to! I just need them out of the garage. ::grin::
Thanks, I appreciate all of the compliments!
I'm really impressed by how smooth and quiet these tires are.
I mentioned that my fuel economy should stay about the same. It's been sucking pretty bad this summer and I'm not sure what happened but it actually improved when I put these new tires on the truck. I noticed at first around town but there are so many variables that can affect the average. Then on the interstate it hit one solid mpg higher. And the taller tire would impact the gauge number positively...
Anybody ever heard about bald tires hurting fuel economy?
Think anyone would be interested in my original pro4 wheels?
Can be big difference in rolling resistance of tires independent of weight.
What he said^

Also, your old Pro4x wheels would likely be very easy to sell. They are very popular on here.
You coulda also opted for a 285/60/18. It's exactly the same size as the 265/75/16 and generally pretty inexpensive. I paid $123 a piece for some Kumho Ecsta STX tires mounted to my Nismo's.

This is true. Even though they are the same construction and tread pattern, there is about 9% less side wall under the rim to deflect with my new 65 series tires.
Halloween back from the DEAD thread-
I am dreaming of some 275s for my Sport PKG Wheels. The factory tires will be done in the spring(I hope, wife checks them 1st, she knows me sooo well). Currently sourcing some Bilstein 5100s to be set at 1.5" front & 1" blocks in rear + the ride rite bags I just installed. My thinking is that the 275/65r18 is the best compromise between; looks, size, clearance, weight, mpg's.. I was wondering, a few months in now, if you are still pleased with your revos?
Do you wish you would have gone 285?
Has your mpgs dropped significantly??
Do you see snow?

If I had the money to also buy a set or rims, I would have picked a set of the OEM's up.

However, I did go with 285/75/16's and a 2" lift and saw only a slight decrease in MPG. Not even 1MPG loss actually. I drive mostly highway miles and I can see the difference in MPG on tanks where I drove more city miles.

P Metric or LT 285s?

Oh yea the wheels, I couldn't walk out the door of the Stealership w/o those Sport Pkg Wheels + I love the fogs, Blu Toof, Aux jack as well.. They had to dealer trade mine in. Someday Ill go all out on a loaded Fronty w/a SUNROOF but IDK, prices are climbin:crying:
truck looks great

I don't think they make a 285/75/16 in P metric. Mine are E load range Duratracs.
In for the update... Curious to know of any rubbing and where the mpg' ended up
