I have a 2016 CC 2WD Frontier. My suspension creak and pops when going over any bump or inclines or declines. I can shake the corners of the truck and it sounds like it is the front drivers side that is the loudest.

I am under warranty but I kind of want to beef up my suspension as the roads are bad here and occasionally i have need to go over some rutted out dirt roads.

Do I take it to the dealer to find out what is wrong and the go to an after market shop and replace what is bad or should I just go to an aftermarket shop and let them tell me what is wrong and advise me?

I know I want a leveling kit but not sure what else would "beef" up a 2wd suspension. I wouldn't mind stiff if it means less damage going over serious bumps.

Your advice for this rookie is appreciated.

It's not a hard answer. If it's under warranty take it to the dealer. A leveling kit is just gonna make your ride more rough and probably won't fix the sound. Look into coilovers. They will give you the ride you are looking for and get rid of the sound.
