Thought I'd throw this out there to any NE race fans looking for something to do this weekend.
The Winged Warriors of the International SuperModified Association kick off their 2010 season in style this Sunday afternoon at the Albany Saratoga Speedway.
If you don't know what a SuperModified is, look here:
ISMA - Official Site - International Super Modified Association
Track Info and Address can be found here:
Home of the CVRA
It's an easy track to get from just about any point in NY, MA and CT. Recently repaved the Supers were in the mid 12 second range around this 4/10 mile oval in testing. That's an average speed of around 113mph. Tickets aren't exactly cheap at $25 a pop (kids free), but I promise you that you will not be disappointed.
Practice at 11AM, race starts at 1PM. Get there early and maybe snag a hamburger or hot dog off our grill.
