Noisy when backing up?

Yesterday when I left work, it made a lot of squeaking like a brake needs replacement (squeal tab) - this can't be right - I only have 1250 miles on them!

This morning, it sounded like the air brakes on a truck when they groan...

After driving to work, I backed into my spot, no noise.

Just rust accumulation on the rotor making the noise, or something else?

were do you live. some times if there is a little moisture on the pads they will groan and squeak until its gone

Oklahoma - moisture could be it...
heavy moisture in the air would contribute to surface rust on the rotars which can cause the brakes to squeal a bit till your pads get it cleaned off
^^ Agreed. Mine gets parked in the garage every morning when I get home. If its been raining my tire seem to suction to the ground and my brakes sound like crap when I am backing out. Once I tap them for a stop and put it in drive its gone.
I had a bad squeel/groan really strange noise to describe while backing up only, anyways it was the back brakes upon futher inspection. Just by looking at the outer pads and rotors through the rims I couldnt see anything out of the norm, but with the wheel off and looking at the inner pads I could see the inside rotor and inner pads were shot, I recomend looking at the rear brakes first and go from there.
