Ok, here's the latest issue for the new guy. Towed the boat a few days ago and after sitting for 5 minutes the engine failed to start. Grinding only 2 or 3 times slowly, as if a dead battery. Next morning started fine. Guess getting the battery checked is a good idea. Maybe will not hold a charge under load. The engine was hot, and issue #2 is that the electric fan does not appear to be working. Any thought on either please respond. Thanks again guys.

Get a load test done on the battery. Also check all battery terminal and end connections to make sure they are clean and tight.

Efan isn't factory on these. Could be a bad temp sensor... but what are you seeing that makes you suspect the fan isn't working? Gauge reading too high and the fan not energizing?
