I was trying to set my ecm so I could check the timing for the first time. I got to ecm and saw that there was no screw to reset. There was a black plastic cover over the hole. I took the cover and did not see a screw. Well, I forgot to turn my truck and I stuck the screw driver in to see if the the screw was deeper inside. the idle shot up and drop. I turn the motor off. I took my truck to auto zone and see if there were any codes that may been cause by my mistake. she plug in the scanner and nothing happen. she said there was no power in the data link connecter under the dash. My truck run fine and everything seem to work, but I'm at lost. no power to DLC. anyone have any idea?. Need help on this one.

Problem fix!. Found the answer on this fourm. if anyone has no power to the data link connector. the fuse for it is in fuse box on driver side. the 7.5 amp lamp fuse is the one. it also power the data link connector.

Welcome to Club Frontier....What model year is your Frontier Lucky13Kidd1738?? For future reference, you might want to create a NEW post anytime you have a question you are looking for an answer to. You can always clip & past the old link into your newly created post so we have an idea as to what your question is about. The post you reopened went back to December 2011...

Anyhow, to answer your questions.......

If it's the 1st Generation Frontier...1998-2004...see attached link...should be Fuse #26 - Data Link..7.5 amp fuse

If it's the 2nd Generation Frontier...2005 thru 2020...see attached link...should be Fuse #12 - Data Link...10 amp fuse

Hope this helps...Good Luck!!!
