I am having some trouble with my 2000 frontier ignition, when the key is turned to the start position the starter doesn't engage or do anything for that matter. i have checked all fuses and the fuse that is labeled "ELEC IG" when pulled the truck starts with the turn of the key, however the power windows don't work. with this fuse in the truck will not start. This truck has the smart entrance control unit. Any suggestions as to what the problem might be?

dead battery?
even a weak battery wont turn over the starter, you might get a click, but htats it.
