NIsstec **Be aware**

If you plan on ordering any of the kits, specifically the rear shackles from Nisstec, be aware that they are on back order. They don't tell you this on their website and will gladly take your money. Then they will sit on it for over a month giving excuses like "they are headed to powder coat right now", "they are on their way back from powder coat", "Should be a couple of days", "Well they are on back order", "we are shipping them in the order as they were received".

Worst part is that their 20% restocking fee if you cancel the order. Blows my mind how they can charge you a 20% restocking fee on something they never had in the first place. It's been a month since I ordered a simple pair of shackles and all I keep getting from them is excuses.

Thanks for the heads up.

Sounds like my 6 month wait for "in stock" titan swap parts a few years ago.

Sorry you're having a bad go round with them. Hope you get your parts in short order!
i had a similar experience with them and now REFUSE to ever order anything from them.

however they are huge in the community so i never bothered to ***** about it, too many people use them. but their business practices screw the consumer over and im not with that game.

I'm thinking this could be, in some situations, considered fraud, online fraud and online fraud is governed by it's own set of rules.
If you you paid for this order using PayPal and/or a credit card I would definitely suggest that you get in touch with either and/or both and have them get involved. Attempting to charge a "restocking" fee when in fact the order has not been shipped and thus the customer could not have possibly received it smacks of illegal/fraudulent business practices. Companies such as this are in fact governed by state laws in the states they do business in, so get in touch with your state's Attorney General's office and/or state Consumer Protection agency to file a complaint and see what assistance they might be able to offer.

This company has apparently been scamming customers in this manner and in similar ways and getting away with it for some time or they would not continue to bully their customer base in such an aggressive manner. Until they are called out and called to task for their bad behavior and people stop putting up with this type of bull$h-t they will continue to do it. The best defense against such bad behavior is not to put up with it and publicly call it out when it happens.

I realize they are in this community which is exactly why I though everyone else should know about it. I have been more than understanding about this because I work in the inventory challenged automotive industry. Transparency is the key here and solves many problems. As of late yesterday and a little pushing, they told us that we are #4 in line to get them shipped but still no idea on when.

That is a terrible business practice. It’s 2022, live inventory on your website isn’t hard. If an item is backordered, say that, and don’t charge the card until the item ships to the customer.

I would argue there's a huge difference between inventory challenged and inventory deceptive. And that does not even begin to touch on the antagonistic attitude this company apparently has and demonstrates towards those who have elected to trust them with their business.

trust me when i say at the time it happened, i would have been publicly stoned and made fun of for even thinking nistec sometimes steals money from its patrons.

2022 is a shade different than many years ago lol

but i do fully agree with you.

Nothing new here. Been hearing this about Nisstec for years now. From what I remember, its sort of managed by one guy. I don't think its intentional just poor management. Obviously he still able to sell everything he gets so his bottom line is not effected. Horrible customer service to say the least. All dogs on the other hand is the polar opposite and will post when they get supplies, or when they are back ordered. In short, I don't hear many possitive things about Nisstec on these forums but generally hear many good things about alldogs. On a darker note, the owner might be taking everyone's money up front because he knows the wait times are so long that most if not all would buy elsewhere.

I have had a couple issues in the past and you simply submitted a form online to visa and the problem typically corrected itself.

Visa has made it infinitely harder to do now. You have to call, jump through some hoops, etc. I tried one and in the end they told me I had to call the retailer (it was for a $20.00 delivery food order for my daughter that never showed). She had called the retailer, they said they cancelled the charge but never did. The 20 bucks wasn't worth my time, she isn't allowed to patronize them anymore. They don't much care it seems - too much PPP money, etc.

I think there is so much of this crap in 2022 that even visa has given up. Welcome to the 3rd world everyone.

Theft and fraud have been basically legalized now across the board. Welcome to 2022. There is virtually no recourse in most instances and it's become absolutely rampant. Companies and individuals alike have been deeply emboldened to do sketchy ****. You're going to have to basically just beg them for your money back because it might be months before they ship you anything.

I've heard similar of Nisstec, though I've never dealt with them directly. Another company I can firmly say you should not do business with is hidprojectors.com.

We should compile a list and pin it to the top.

Had the same experience with them. They’re nice and friendly when you’re placing the orders, but once your card is charged they’ll give you a bunch of bs excuse why your not getting your orders.

Are you possibly confusing Nisstec & PRG?
Are you possibly confusing Nisstec & PRG?
Yeah PRG was guilty of this years ago... not good if Nisstec is heading down that route too.
The excuse this week is: The company that makes the shackles moved from Indiana and they are having trouble fulfilling orders. So I guess it's some guy in a garage with a plasma cutter and a grinder that's making these things. And as far as the restocking fee goes..."Well that's what the owner put in place because there are credit card fees and employee costs, so it's his decision". Good thing I'm paying for his problems.

That sucks
Has this charge, which you say/indicated showed up on your credit card been paid by you? If so, if you have paid this bill, this charge then you are in a position to request that the card company, be VISA or MasterCard or whomever get directly involved and that due to the fact that you have been in pretty much constant communication with this vendor and they are attempting to charge a restocking fee for an order which they never shipped and they refuse to cancel the order or refund your money you now are requesting the card company become directly involved in securing a refund on your behalf.

It's not that hard to do. I've done it more than once when dealing with a$$hole vendors. Be polite ........ it helps in smoothing the way.

that's exactly what they hope for, it's happening because they get away with it

Yes, it's been more than paid. I am going to give them until next week before I try this.
