After checking out the forum several times it is time to join. I just bought a 2004 Frontier XE 4x4 crew cab LWB, V6 with 51K miles. It's got a bed extender with a couple of short straps with what appears to be partial buckles. Any idea what I'm missing? I don't see any evidence of what these connect to.

I was born in Binghamton but actually grew up in Johnson City. Most people have never heard of JC so I tell people Binghamton.

Welcome to the club!

Open the tailgate and flip the extender on to the tailgate. The buckles lock to the latches on the tailgate to keep it and the gate from moving. When you're done using it, pull the gates handle and they release.

Thanks for the Welcome. I am in Shortsville, just East of Rochester.

Thanks! That'll help me this weekend when I take the Scouts to a Klondike derby - I haul the sled!
