Hey guys, new member and just purchased a 1999 Frontier 4x4 with 112000 miles. Vehicle is pretty clean, being a Florida truck and runs ok. Primary use will be to tow a boat at about 3000 lb. Only thing it appears to be missing is 3 of the OEM fender flares. They appear to be hard to find. Towing specs are 4000 or 5000 lb, depending the resource you look at. Looking for any tips for maintenance and/or modification to keep this old truck running at an acceptable level. Thanks for any advice you can offer.

I would find out when the timing was last replaced, if ever, assuming you have the V6. They are due every 105,000 miles or 6 years, whichever comes first. Also, when it comes to the ignition system (plugs, cap/rotor, wires), stick with NGK or genuine Nissan parts.

put a new body, frame, engine, transmission, differential, and driveshaft on it and you'll be good to go for the foreseeable future!!!
