Just installed newly acquired sub box. (4) 6.5" subs tuned to 38HZ. I previously had the dual 10 sub box widely available from Amazon or Ebay. Always had a hard time getting proper low end from that box as the cubic volume is a tad bit too small for 10's. This new box sounds really good and is quite impressive with this setup! No real questions for the forum, just wanted to share. If anyone is interested, the company is Elite Fabrication and their facebook page is: Log into Facebook

I got one from Lucas as well - best sound you will ever get in the Frontier while keeping the rear seat usability. I had a upward firing 10" under the rear seat but didn't sound nearly as good as this.

I'm perusing the audio threads tonight as this is something I've been into since I started driving many years ago. Earlier I came across the FB video for this 4x6.5 enclosure via Google, but I don't have an account so didn't know how to get a hold of the company. Thanks for posting their info.

I sold a car in Feb. '21 and removed my JL Audio W7AE 12"s in a sealed box with a JL 1200/1v3 that I was driving them with, left everything else in the car. I thought of deleting the 60 portion of the Frontier's back seat to fit them, and upgrade the door speakers and head unit, but also like the idea of keeping the back seat.

Here's a link if you want to have a look. I'll definitely make a thread with whatever I do but leaning toward the box you posted and when car prices tank, just buy another to throw in my JL's. LOL

In contact with the builder of this enclosure and putting myself on the waiting list. Hoping the wait is not too long. Budget build! Taking advantage of Skar's sale today and ordered 4 Skar EVL's and went with the RP-1200. Going to feed these little guys a bit more than RMS.

Sound clips never represent what one will 'feel/hear' in the real world.

Fwiw, I've got a fairly standard 12" Kenwood sealed sub in the back of my KC fueled by 400w. It fills in nicely what the mid-woofers in the doors leave off. I don't think it'll shake the cars next to me, but it punches me in the back w/ adequate authority!

I was wondering how well they hit and how the lows are. I currently have a Kicker L7T 8 box under passenger rear seat but was looking to get more bass. It hits pretty good but the lows roll off quick

You sound like more of a ported sub-box kind of listener?
I'm no audiophile expert by any means, I just know what I like and what I don't want. I'd rather have punchy bass as opposed to teeth chattering rumble...all at a reasonable cost while taking up as little room as possible.

I actually have usually had sealed enclosures. I have a feeling it is a combo of what Kicker has the box tuned to and firing directly into the seat

My above mentioned 12" sub is a shallow-style installed in downward firing Q-Bomb box right behind the drivers seat in my KC. It would probably hit even harder if I didn't have an all-weather factory rubber mat across the KC rear seat floor area that the sub fires directly into. Your tuned box likely puts mine to shame.

I had a JL audio box 20+ years ago with 3 8w6’s. It was one of the best sounding and accurate systems I had. I had a few other 10” and 12” single subs. A single 10” sub under the back seat sounds pretty good to me.
