I took my truck into the dealership this morning, again, to get the driver side axle seal replaced. The passenger side was replaced in July '08. I pick it up at 1:00 and go back to work. After I come home I walk by the rear tire and guess what. I smell gear oil.

I looked and there it was-a leak! I took it back and asked if it might be residual oil, nope. They immediately stated, "You're getting a new axle.

My reply, "Ok!" The truck has 52,500 miles. I'm glad it happened now and not at 62,500.:nana:

They were really cool about it. Have you mentioned your gear situation to your dealer?

The last time I truely went offroading was 13 months ago, and it still happened. I think it is a nissan quality thing.
