I just picked up my first truck last weekend, ended up getting a 2012 Nissan Frontier SL with just under 60k miles from a local dealer.
I took it on a cross state trip for a wedding and it rode like a dream. I got all the options, including the moonroof and tow package, and the dealer had just replaced the tires with some grabber 2 275/65/R18's that seem to be pretty awesome too. I am looking at adding a backup camera with a 4 inch pop-up lcd screen to help with the adjustment period, but it's not that much different then backing up my old Jeep Grand Cherokee (Size wise, steering is quite a bit different)
I had been looking at midsize trucks for the last few months, but no dealer was willing to go below $20,000 or so on anything (I was trying to stay over 2012 and under 80k miles, and most dealers wouldn't haggle on there prices AT ALL) but when I came across this one I was willing to go a little higher for all the upgraded stuff, I ended up around 21k out the door.
I haven't taken it up to camp yet but I'm hoping to soon. I'm from Maine, and it's currently -2 degrees outside so I'm holding off on the outdoor sports for now.
Excited to be in a truck finally. I've got some ideas for what I want to do to this already after going through these forums, so I may be asking for some help, or may try posting some writeups if I do anything worthwhile.::grin::
