Hello all!

I am a new Frontier owner, but not new to Nissan. My new to me Frontier is actually my 3rd Nissan. My other baby is my 2010 Xterra Off-Road. It replaced my '01 Xterra XE last October when it was totaled in an accident. I owned the '01 Xterra from 2008-2016 and it was a great vehicle, tough as nails until that Hyundai ran that stop sign! I have to say I quickly got over the loss of my '01 when I bought my 2010 and realized the power the VQ40 has to offer!

Here's where the frontier come in to play: I just traded in my daily driver/work truck 2005 Chevy Colorado Z71 with 206,000 Miles on it last night on my new (to me) 2015 Frontier SV King Cab 4x2 V6. I am an area manager for installed sales for a building supply company in the Charleston, SC area and I need a pickup for my job, mostly to commute between remote job sites, but occasionally I do have to carry various materials with me. I drive a lot, and my Colorado was tired. Upgrading to a Frontier was long overdue. I got the bug to get a Frontier last year when I had one as a rental, I loved it and knew I wanted one as my next truck. (my 2nd gen Xterra helped sway me over to the Frontier also)

I got to put a few miles on the Frontier today and I'm already loving it! It drives soooo much better than my old Colorado! The Frontier has 59k on the clock which is a bit high for a '15, but I got a good deal on it and an extended powertrain warranty. It was a one owner dealer maintained truck with complete service records too!!!

Here's a pic of the new truck!

Thanks guys.

One week in and it's doing good. I am enjoying the new truck. I have clocked just under 500mi in the first week with it.

I got a Haul-Master truck rack (the full rack from Harbor Freight) put on it so that if I need to carry any long items like a ladder or trim material I can do so without messing up my truck. So far, it's doing fine with it. I did notice though that with any additional weight (not overloaded) it squats more than I'd like it to so I might look into some helper springs in the future. Honestly I am going to do my best to NOT need to carry a lot of stuff on my truck... Usually I only have to carry a piece or two of trim, it's not a daily thing, but frequent enough to warrant the rack...

The full rack fits the truck just fine, but you cannot use the "j" bolts alone on the front 'feet' due to a re-enforcement in the bed being in the way. I really hated to do so, but I ended up getting (2) M12x1.75 bolts and bolted down the two front 'feet' on the rack, but just "j" bolted the back two 'feet'. I can always replace the bed rail caps later or put a truck box on it to deal with the two 1/2" holes.

I also put a full set of Weather-Tech floor liners in it to protect the carpet.
