Hi everyone. I recently bought a 2015 Frontier Pro4X. I'm pretty excited about it and looking to make some upgrades to the truck to make it the mountain/desert truck of my dreams. I was told today by a seemingly reputable mechanic that the pro4x can't be lifted because of issues it would cause to the alignment and a lack of lift kits made for the pro4x. My goal was to put a 2.5" lift on it and upgrade it to 33" tires. Any thoughts or advice on this issue would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Read the suspension sticky as mentioned it has a good bit of info to answer your question. My truck has 2.5 inches in lift with 33 inch tires so it can be done. You just need to decide what sort of setup you need for how you use your truck and how much cash you want to spend. Adjustable cam bolts will solve the alignment issues. You will have to do what is called the fender melt mod to the front inner fenders to run 33 inch tires. Also depending on your setup replacing the upper control arms with a good aftermarket set might be needed. Welcome to Club Frontier

Thanks for the help. Is there a particular kit you went with? Or did you price the parts together yourself? I was looking at the Nisstec website, but I don’t know if what they’re selling works and it seems pretty expensive.

For my truck I have bilstein 5100 struts with all dogs Offroad 2 inch lift coil springs and a 1/2 inch lift strut spacer for the front. The rear is lifted with a hybrid leaf spring pack. Which is a mix of the Frontier leafs and xterra leafs. I sourced all of my parts separately but all dogs does offer a kit with the same parts I used for the front.
