Hello everyone, I have a 2007 SE 4x4 crew cab with the long bed. I really like my truck but I want a standard shift instead. I have been trying to trade this truck for 4 months for a duplicate of what I have already except for the automatic. Last report I received a couple of weeks ago is that there are only two standards available on the entire east coast. I could have ordered a new truck by now but i'd rather see one and drive one before I commit to placing the order. Has anyone heard of any problems with the 6 speeds or with Nissan's clutches?

Welcome to Clubfrontier.
I'm in Central Pa here too, Williamsport to be exact.
Where do you live?

Oh, and I have a six speed and love it!
The manual transmission/engine combo is perfect for these trucks.
25,xxx miles on the truck and no complaints with the tranny or clutch.

I had the same feeling you are having now. When I bought my 08 LE I knew I should have bought the manual instead and now two years later I corrected my error. I ordered my new truck with a six speed on halloween and it will be here jan. 15th. There is a black long bed SE 6 speed at Nissan 23 in Butler NJ, it actually came from Abeloff Nissan in PA.
I test drove a six speed and after a 20 mile test drive went in and ordered mine. It has a great feel to it.
I also ordered a sunroof and navigation while I was at it.

When I bought my truck in 07 I was going to buy a 6 spd. I wish I would have. I've never ordered any new vehicle. I always buy off the lot because I'm to impatient to wait. It is amazing that Nissan is manufacuring so few 6 speeds right now. Since they are hard to find the dealers don't seem to want to cut any great deals on them. I've looked at every other truck on the market and I keep coming back to the Frontier.

Usually though a manual shift vehicle is less desirable and therefore harder for dealers to move.
I found that to be the case when I bought my truck pre-owned and managed to get them down on the price simply because my truck had been sitting on the lot.

Did you check out the links I posted above?

I haven't had time yet but thanks for posting them. I'm looking to buy a new truck. Mine has 43K on it.
