so i signed up kinda early, i should pick up my truck tomorrow...

05 SE 4x2 King Cab V6 6spd Silver with Black cloth (anything i miss?)

My name's Brad, Im 20, I go to photo school in Santa Barbara.


I want to mod-out my truck.
i know i need to search the forum more (search SUCKS BTW)

Mods to do:
Tonneu - need this ASAP, a hard one, preferibly roll top. http://www.truckaddons.com/ has a big selection, any reccomendations?

alarm system + power door locks - car came without.

ipod to headunit - how possible is this? just a wire would be nice, some cars need a new HU...

Exhaust - its a largly discussed topic, anyone have sound clips? thatd make deciding easier

Intake - probably go with Air Raid

Chip - any reccomendations? do they make simple chip upgrades yet?

small lift - this wont come for a while, ill figgure it out by then

First off Welcome!!!

I'm actually going to get a Extang Trifecta this weekend. It is a tri-folding snapless soft top. It runs about $300 including shipping from 4wheelonline.com

The ipod thing is very possible without a new head unit thee part ,I believe is actually made by Nissan. The link below is for the non sattelite radio but yournissanparts.com(site sponsor) also has one for sattelite radios as well.

For the exhaust there is a group buy going on for the JBA y-pipe back exhaust. This is through premiertruckaccessories.com which is also a site sponsor

Your intake choice would be a good one as well. I have it and love it. Easy install and it sounds great. This is also available through premiertruckaccesories.com They are having a special on it for $170 shipped. David is the guy there to speak with about that.

As for the chip, there isn't really anything out yet.
And for the lifts, they are out but mostly just spacers and blocks for now it seems like.

Well I didn't get everything but I hope I helped a little. If you lurk around the site you should find answers for most of the questions you have. And if you dont find it post it. This is a great group and will always help!!!

whoops, i should be more specific about that tonneu cover

I want something thats hard. im going to be carrying stuff back there all the time and dont want it stolen, which means it has to be lockable.

pretty much all ive seen are the fiberglass ones that pop up at an angle.
the main reason i got the truck was to makeout in the bed with all the chicks that are going to flock to me now... i mean, thats why you guys got yours too right?
BUT a fiberglass one makes it hard to watch stars at night...

so i want to get either a HARD roll top, or fold top that locks and wont be a problem to fit a 9' surfboard in the back (i got that bed extender thing too)

any suggestions on those ones?
