Hi. I have an 05 CC SE with the tweeters in the front. If I put a new cd player in, will I have to change out the tweeters for something else or will the new HU run the stock speaker setup correctly? Anyone change out their HU yet?

I swapped out my head unit in my O5. still running the stock speakers up front. sounds okay. the front speakers in the door are wired witht the tweeters in the dash. should run fine for now. savin $ for a the front and rear speakers. you should do fine. however, you might want to "play" with the bass output as the stocks don't handle well. I 'm runnin stockers with "negative" bass and my amp and sub for the lows. sounds good. good luck hope this helps.

I am doing the reverse right now. I've installed all new speakers and am still running the stock HU. It sounds nice and clean but does'nt have much bass. They are a 4 ohm impedence and the stockers are 2 ohm. The sound is hardly any improvement over stock. For someone wishing to get better sound on a budget, I would recommend replacing the HU over getting new speakers ..I am waiting on my new Kenwood from Crutchfield. It is supposed to come with the mounting kit and harness for an easy install...

Mounting kit for the Frontier = DIN pocket. Seriously. Don't bother with any of the expensive dash kits. Find a $5 DIN sized pocket and you'll be fine. I just installed my HU and it made a world of difference even with the factory speakers. Now if I could just find room for my 12".......
