I bought it for a gen2, I have a gen3 now as I traded in the other one before ever installing it

Do you know if it will fit the gen3? Does it even sit well on the roof? I am interested in it as I like the Gen2 roof rack but really do not want to spend the money if it won't even fit/sit right on our roofs. Have you tried it on yours? If so how does it look?

My understanding based on research is that it won't fit gen3

Yeah that is what I read too, but no picture proof. I was looking at the same on amazon and ebay claim up to 2022 but i did not want to buy try it out then ship back. The basic roof is same as gen2 so if the spot under where the roof rack feet are, are "empty" and the feet form fit correctly then all should go well.

Since you said you have it assembled are you able to just set it on top and see what it looks like? Then you would know as well whether or not it would work. I am personally not really a fan of the new nismo or Prinsu. How are you supposed to wash and wax the roof with those

Yea I can do that, it would be this weekend but I'll throw up a pic when I get it done

I appreciate the effort; I mean if it "matches" the contour and looks good I would say keep it and I will get my own from amazon as well. We could end up starting a trend. I saw in your gen 2 pics that you did the same, how hard was it to install?

Nice truck BTW, the gray was another color I was interested in along with the cardinal red

Thanks! Just got it and am definitely a fan. So I had set it on the gen2 but never installed it. After going back & forth I was going to let a shop do it, they quoted me 150 for rivnut install, or 300 to take the headliner down & use the plates. But I got COVID at the time & canceled my appointment so never went forward with it, then when I traded it I decided to sell it. Not ready to drill the new roof yet 🤣

Don’t blame you there. I can understand the not drilling the new truck but if it fits and looks good like the gen2 it will be worth it and 300 isn’t bad
