Decided to remove the factory muffler and pinched factory Y pipe. The muffler I chose was a Flowmaster 50 series number 942551. So far I am very pleased as I have no drone! But has a very very deep low bass sound, which was what I was after in determining what muffler I wanted to install. I've included some pics!

How much is the y pipe? I've been wanting to change the exhaust but didn't know the direction I wanted to go.

I used a Y pipe by Magna flow and it was a about $27 when I did it many years ago. It seems like the price has gone up a bit.

But there are others that are still reasonably priced:

Another option that I like is to use a 2 to 1 type muffler. This eliminates the Y pipe entirely.
