I had a local company here in Santa Barbara, CA help me build and install a custom, down firing, subwoofer box and amp rack wall in my 2016 king cab. The only stuff that goes back there are groceries, my dog, or my golf clubs. I created a photo album here if you want to see some more photos.
I actually may pull the box out soon, and have it sprayed with Line-X instead of carpet so I don't worry about throwing the dog in there after going to the beach.
