This whistle or long pinging noise only starts up when I accelerate to 60 and continues to 75mph. The noise is not noticeable until I reach 60 mph. Anything under 60 and the noise goes away. Anyone experience this? Have less than 500 miles on it. Watch the video and lean back and you'll here it.
I just upgraded from a 2019 Frontier SV Midnight Ed to this one. I like the truck but this noise is super annoying every time I get on the highway.
I hear it. Is it only when you have pressure on the gas pedal? I had a similar noise that happened exactly at 80mph but disappeared as soon as I took pressure off the gas. Reappeared as soon as I touched the pedal again. Ended up getting a whole new rear end under warranty.
I got the truck with around 10k miles on it and noticed it shortly thereafter. Got it replaced at 14k. The service advisor didn't give much info, just "must be a bearing or something".
I have video of my noise also, but can't figure out how to upload it. I don't have an account on any online video hosting platform.
I had both of the above issues on my 2020. Dealer replaced rear end under warranty, which seemed to solve the humming. Also replaced the heater door actuator assembly
Did your problem go away? I am @ 12000 miles and have same noise, dealer replaced the rear differential and it still is making same noise. Please if you could find out exactly what was replaced and if it solved the problem, thanks!!
