My garage attacked the lower front piece of fender flare(??) on the passenger side of my truck (fender similar to this truck http://www.clubfrontier.org/modules/coppermine/albums/userpics/10341/normal_S4200019.JPG but painted).

The piece was ripped off but didn't appear to damage any of the truck or the area where it attaches to the body. I was wondering if anybody has replaced these pieces before and how easy the pieces are to get (and do I have to get it painted myself)?

They are not hard to take off. You just pry off gently those plastic fake bolts. They cover clips that hold on the "fender flare". You could get one from the dealer....But it would be cheaper to try junk yards first. But if you want bigger ones for bigger tires..... :wink:

Bought my complete set of 4X4 flares when I converted my 2WD std cab to bigger plastic. Flares and nut caps (the covers over the clips) ran about 160 for a complete swap. The rear flare, unpainted is $28. Dealer wants about $36 if I remember correctly.

Hey guys, not to revive an old old topic, but any idea where to get the same thing for a '00 Fronty? Just bought a '00 King Cab XE, and a missing front left fender flare (that is, the 8" long lower bit) is the one cosmetic issue - hoping to find a replacement on the internet, but no luck so far. Junkyards or the dealer I guess?

I've called a few junk yards before and they said "Frontier's parts are hard to find since they ship every Fronty's piece to Mexico 'cause they like it there."
