Hey all,

I have a 1999 Nissan Frontier, 3.3 v6, 5 speed manual trans. I was driving home the other day and my truck started acting weird. It would be in gear, no grinding or anything but it wouldn't go. Thankfully, I got it home. My clutch was very sloppy. I installed new clutch master and slave cylinder hoping that would fix my problem. It did not. I bleed system thoroughly. Clutch now has good pressure again. I put the truck in gear, no grinding or trouble, let the clutch out and it will barely move. Even if I hit the gas, it barely wants to move. The driveshaft is spinning. Just asking for guidance on this. Could it be that my clutch went out or possible rear end problems? Thanks

Yes rpm goes up. I was reading somewhere else that if the driveshaft is spinning it could be rear end, if it was not spinning, the tranny could be bad. That was an RX-7 forum. Not sure if that has any backing. Just covering all my bases here.

I had my wife get in the truck, put it in gear and try to move it while I was kneeling next to the truck.
I think if mine I'd next put rear on jack stands, pull off hub caps, and see if the axles are turning when engine running and in gear. If drive shaft turns fast and the axles don't, then differential issue.
