I'm about to purchase a 5 inch calmini lift kit for my 2008 cc se 4wd. Is there anyone that would recommend not buying that lift kit? and if you do have the lift on your truck , are you happy with the calmini lift? Has anyone regret buying that lift? The guys @ ORW said they can order it and do the install for $2100.

need your imput before i buys. thanks guys

what are you planning to do with your truck? most guys on here will tell you to just not go calmini because of the customer service. and for $2,000 you can get a sick setup from Greg at prg products.

not to mention the lose of ground clearance with it and it not being practical for real off road use. its for show.

that kit is garbage. might as well put a 5" body lift on your truck. its for show, not for performance. and all it really shows is that you put a bunch of blue garbage under your truck.

if your a mall crawler go for it.

if you plan on running off road with rocks in the trail. you will hit the front cross member and it will bend. with out spending another 800 for coil overs you have no additional travel in the front. rear block and shackle for the lift components. A 3sl + 2bl will get you the 5in and most of it usable lift. for about the same money, or do a titan swap front end with a 3 in lift and call it a day

Thanks for the advice. I go offroading
so I won't be buying it now. I forgot
to mention that I already have the 2.5
Prg coilovers with the blocks in the back.
I was lookn for more lift and wanted a
lift that would handle the abuse.

With the 2.5s you already have, you would have to buy the drop bracket kit specific 2.5s

It's worked okay for me, but if I'd known better before hand (my fault, lack of research) I would have started with PRG. I now run Radflo 2.5s and PRG UCAs with my Calmini, and it's starting to make up for my original poor choice in lift.

I wanted more ground and wheel
clearance, and that's why I started
lookn at lifts. I talked to Greg and he's
working at making a 6-8 inch Prg lift. I'll
wait for that
that will be interesting to see, i know his products come with a very good rep but making a lift that tall, requiring a drop bracket, without destroying your clearance

you could maybe go with a titan swap with the cst spindles. I might go that route one day. If you can wait for greg to finish up what he's working on though, that would definitely be the ticket.

It's the SLR lift kit.

He said he has a 4x4 so you can't use spindles.

A 6-8" lift from PRG will be great! Looking forward to it.
