I just installed my lift yesterday and took it in for an alignment today. The guy I had do it says he cannot loosen the tie rod ends for adjustment and they would need to replace the tie rod ends and might as well replace the center link. What options do i have? What kits are available that would be cheap and replace everything. I have looked at 4x4parts, but I am confused on what i would need to get. There is also the option of replacing everything stock, but I really do not want to go back and replace it again? Any recommendations? Oh, its a 2001 frontier xe 4x4, I would also want to get an idler arm brace.

Why can't he loosen the tie rod ends? I've had them difficult, but nothing that a little heat wouldn't cure.

He said that he never uses heat and never will. Not sure the reason or if its really that big of a deal. i went ahead and replaced both sides with all factory tie rod ends and rods. They come as an assembly in order to get the new adjuster. It was $275 for 4 tie rod ends and 2 adjusters. Not too bad. I popped the old ones out and new ones in in about ten minutes. I will eventually have a new center link made, but keep the factory tie rod ends.
