I was driving down the road Sat and My truck died no sputter or anything just died. It wouldn't crank back up. went back after a few hours and it started up and ran fine until today when it did it again. The check engine light isn't on but I scaned it and got a knock sensor code but I didn't think that would make it just flat out die, or would it? Any help would be great.

No KS will not kill the engine.

Was their gas in the tank? Gauge bad? Have you changed your fuel filter?

I've heard that the distributor can fail and cause the truck to die. The distributor bearing seems to be the problem.

I'd say either the engine cannot get gas or your distributor is bad if you have no codes.

I fixed it about 5min after I made that last post. I did a tune up on it about 3 weeks ago ( water pump timing belt plugs plug wires belts and fuel filter) and one of the wires going from the distributer to the main harness wasn't plugged in all the way and the vibration from the engine would cause it to die. It was hard to figure it out since everytime I was back home or at my shop it would run fine and when it died on the side of the road I didn't have any tools with me to check it out.

Sounds to me like the distributor. You might want to have that thing replaced or at least checked out.
