Need help to fix my door alignment

4609 Views 6 Replies 7 Participants Last post by  Fishonbc
Ever since I bought my truck the drivers door lower half stick out like less then a 1/4" from the body/extended cab. Where the window starts up pretty much is flush.

I heard maybe playing with the two hinges or the striker?

Anyone help me narrow it down and exactly what to do.

Please see the attached picture.

Thank you!

Play with the hinges and see if that helps. I've exprienced in the past on a BMW and playing with the hinges helped big time.

Good luck...
The striker is paint free and easy to monkey with. I'd go there first.
did you ever fix this? I have the same exact issue with my 2011. bottom of drivers door sticks out but top and middle of door is lined up fine. Passenger door is perfect.
before moving any parts around be sure that the door is closing completely and that the door seal is in its correct place
I hate to bring up an old thread, but I have this same issue with my passenger door on a 2018. Any luck fixing this issue, or does anyone have any suggestions. I have messed around with the striker plate on both the front and rear doors with no luck.
Some times this happens to cars
, Button of the door get stuck on the ground etc. I stand on the inside of the door , holding it with my body. And pull the bottom of the door edge towards me. Opening and closing it till it's right.
