Hey guys,

Been using the fabtech 6" db lift kit with the titan swap for a while now and it's been alright. I've replaced my control arms with moogs awhile back and now just pressed some of their problem solver ball joints in today which are pretty nice. I also got new aftermarket cv's and they do not work. The cv contacts the ball joint now most of the way through the travel. I get coil over contact when turning tight with the Prg heims and 2.5 saws but never had issues with the ball joint contacting the cv's at full compression or droop.

My guess is the crappy fabtech spindle?
The cvs worked when they were stock titan cvs but now the after market ones have too large of a diameter where they sit above the ball joint.

Anyone have any stock titan cvs laying around to measure? I'll get some pics tomorrow in the day light.

Thanks guys! Any info helps I'm trying to hit ocotillo wells this weekend!

Well the Moog ball joints have the zerk fitting sticking out the top correct? (Thats how mine are at least) You may need to remove the fitting to use them, even on mine with stock spindles and Frontier CVs the banding clamp for the boot would rub initially. I had to change the clamp style to a low profile style to clear it.

Thanks for the reply!

There's no way the zerks will ever fit. Without the zerks, my after market cvs from rockauto have too large of a diameter exactly where that band is to keep the boot on. At compression and full droop, there is full contact that locks out the cv.

I've figured that is has to do with the poor r&d of the fabtech lift spindle.

I know this setup worked with stock titan cvs, not these aftermarket ones. I'm thinking of grinding half circle channels on top of each ball joint since it looks to have a lot of material. Probably won't need to take much off but does anyone have a better option?

Or does anyone have some good condition titan cvs laying around?

Thanks dudes
