I have an older 2nd gen Nismo (06) which has the chrome front bumper. Not a fan of chrome & really want to take it off and have it sand blasted then painted to match the rest of the truck. I've been looking for a good guide/video to help with removing the bumper, but haven't found anything great. Does anyone know of anything like this, or have any info to help me? Seems like it should be a relatively easy job, but I'm not really a "car guy" so I want to have it planned out before starting anything. Anything is appreciated greatly!

Cheers,
Hunter

On my 2019, I have to pull the inner wheel well loose and bend it to the tire. Where the fender and the bumper top meet (inside the fender) there are 2 bolts that take a 10mm socket. Once you pull each side loose there are push in snap things and more bolts along the skid plate (all plastic stuff on my SV). Good luck and take your time. Getting inside the inner fenders were the hardest for me, since I'm old with "crip fingers"...lol !

Thanks for the help! After I got my quote for the cost of painting the bumper & touch up work I think I'll have to put this project on hold for a bit, but I'll make sure to refer to this in the near future when I have the cash. Much appreciated!

Instead of repainting the chrome, consider just changing it to plastic and paint to match?
