NEED HELP- 05 NISMO Primary cats

Can anyone give me step by step directions on how to remove the primary cats on an 05 Frontier, 6-cyl, 4.0 eng. Looking at them, the bottom end is easily accessable but I can't figure how to get to the top end (attached to manifold). THANKS IN ADVANCE.

Have you downloaded the FSM from the sicky?

This should be step 1.

I am going to guess and say that removing the manifolds is going to be the easiest way to get to the bolts.
If you have access to an air gun, a 24" extension and a swivle socket, your set. I watched the dealer do mine from the top in about 30 minutes
Holy crap, a 2 foot extension, dang, lol.

It's a little tight down the side of the motor, but doable with the extension. The tech that did mine(the only guy other than me to work on the truck besides myself, cuz he's good), used this combo and just gunned the nuts with the studs loose, that way the cat can slip by the manifold.

And a 2ft extension is nothing, I have a 48" 1/2" hanging on the side of my box. great for doing FWD transmission removals and pain in the a$$ alternators behind cv axles
I'm sorry but I don't understand, what is or where do I find "the FSM from the sicky"?

Frontier Service Manual.

Thanks for all the good advice, I replaced the driver's side primary cat, it was painful, about 4 hours but it was well worth it. The truck is running great now, no more SES light.
