I am trying to develop/confirm that my skidplates are working with the Frontier truck - 2nd GEN. However - calling every Enterprise in town - I got nowhere close to renting one. Just ended up with a bunch of sales people trying to sell me beat the crap Enterprise vehicles ...
I was wondering if any of you guys would like to stop by to my shop on one weekend to try some skids and sliders. Beer is on me. Shpould me no more than 2 hours
I am in Evergreen, CO

Evergreen huh? Sweet, I live about 30 - 45 mins away.

My truck is a long bed cc, are you interested on testing on one of those?
Not positive, but think there are 4 different types of sliders that would fit on a fronty 2nd gen. Regular cab, KC, CC, and CC LWB. I always wanted some sliders being a cc lwb.

I could come up with my buddy Sat or Sun this week. Friday, I'm going to Del Norte and back, could even do it then.
This weekend is going to be a problem ... I have a deadline for Monday to finish 6 sets of skids and will be "crazy" .... Maybe next weekend ?
And Thank You for your offer

Thank you ... I will.
I just moved to CO in September. Where is Evergreen?

You must have been calling Enterprise sales offices, although there are only four in CO. Enterprise rents 4 door Frontiers. Actually, quite a few of them...

On a side note, they also sell a lot of vehicles that were never a rental car. If an enterprise vehicle was ever damaged, it can't be sold by Enterprise (they send it to auction and its sold at other dealerships) so not many of their rentals make it to the sales side.
Well ... got no luck in renting one ... managers in places have my cell number and I call them every couple days to check. I do not call the sales offices - but once you call for a specific car - they will contact you. A lot of people rent from Enterprise the model car that they want to buy so they can take their time without the salesman presure .... So they know that - and they call you back (Enterprise). I do travel plenty and would not be the first time renting. Also - every time my truck in the shop they provide with an Enterprise car for me as a loaner.

Evergreen is in the west side of Denver - in the foothills
Cool thanks.

And what you said is very true about people renting specific vehicles before they buy them. That's a big reason why I bought a Frontier.
Any luck in finding a frontier? If i lived closer, i'd be over there asap.
I'm really interested to see these sliders on our trucks.
Right there with you Blackout. Remy knows I'm dying for his sliders and skids. I'm tired of waiting for Shrock. I was just out last week with a bunch of Xterras and I saw plenty of his(Remy's) work.
I'm waiting for him to PM me. I've been to Evergreen numerous times, I'm like 30 - 45 mins away.. I'm free this weekend 1 day. Snow on Saturday, so...
Remy, you listening?!! Please jump on this very generous offer!!
Let's try something for next weekend - this weekend I got my hands full.

Sorry - I am focusing on the sec gen Nissan's - since this is what I have and I can try on it.
oh right on man quess i'll have to keep lookin
saw this on thewx.

Today I rented a 2009 Nissan Frontier Crew cab short bed. I got the truck shortly before 6PM and started working on it .... Is 10PM and I learn the following:
I CAN make the sliders. The radiator, engine and Transmission are working perfect from Xterra. The T-case will be larger (I wish the Xterra to have the same coverage) - I took all the dimensions and will see how to fit on the sheet metal. But is douable, I can do it and I WILL do it. The gas tank fits perfectly - however - I will have to modify one bracket - the one that is next to the rear wheel. I will do that tomorrow.
So bottom line - there are good news - the complete sliders set will be available for sale next week once I will calculate all the material.

As for the sliders: the front part matches perfect with the Xterra. The rear bracket has to be moved 190mm and there are some different attachement approaches. The sliders itself is 510mm shorter than the Xterra slider.

Again - this is for a Frontier Crew cab (4 doors) with short bed (5 feet) with the wheel base of 129.5
I don't know the difference and if this will work with other models of frontier, but I believe that same wheel base will fit the skids and sliders.
