Just got a call that my truck was in:fantastic: For all of you who are waiting, it only took 6 1/2 weeks from the day I signed the papers.:) I'm so excited I could just ?#$^.
Then came the call, they forgot to install the splash guards.:censor:
I just told them to get the guards coming and I will up the truck when it is done. Oh well a few more days won't kill me!!

congrats, that's awesome news!
Congrats! Was it factory ordered or dealer located?
Mine was a factory order and took 9 weeks to arrive.

Clint
right on, but uhh 4 banger and 2wd huh
What was special or unique that had to be ordered? Wasn't there something 99% similar on the lot, somewhere?
Yep, I ordered it from the factory.

The dealer could not find anything I wanted. Every SE 2wd 4banger with the power package had and AT in it and I wanted a MT. Living in Michigan everything around here is 4wd. Plus I wanted red and they could not find that. I just wish I could have gotten the alloy wheels at a reasonable price on it. I would have had to go to a 6 cylinder to do that.I had three dealers look.

As far a 2wd/ 4banger goes, I wanted the gas mileage. I have been driving a 2wd 4cylinder Ranger for the last 12 years. It has always done everything I needeed. This will be a big improvement and will never leave the road. Besides I plan on keeping this at least 10 years, who knows where gas prices will be then.
i hear you about everything being 4WD. I had to search high and low for a 2WD and ended up having to travel 2 states down for it.
luckily i wanted an automatic which is good b/c manual anything is utterly impossible to find.

I remember when I bought my '93 Sentra and inquired about ordering it. The salesman was very snippy and said "at least 4 months." Went to another dealer and they had something just about exactly what I wanted.
Well by ordering it I got what I wanted. Plus, all the dealer had to do was order what I asked for. I think this helped when it came down to negotiating a price. Looks like I got a good deal and a $2000 Nissan incentive!! Gotta like it!
Well the splash guards finally came in. That was one damn long week. Picked my truck up last night. Keep in mind I have been driving a 97 Ranger for the last 12 years. But I love the way the Nissan rides. Truck feels so much more stable than my old ranger and quite.

Today I added, a tonneau cover, bug deflector, bed mat, AVS window visors, Husky floor liners, GPS dock, sunglass/light add on coming. I will try to post pics tomorrow, but honestly it looks just like everybody elses Frontier:laugh::laugh:
I'm with you on wanting the manual transmission, I have the XE and although I would have liked to have the power options and the chrome bumpers, I didn't want the automatic that came with it. Plus I got mine at the end of the year and as a leftover, the price was too good to pass up. P.s. may I ask what you paid for it? If you'd prefer, you can tell me through a personal message.

As for wheels, you can upgrade those for cheap, just keep your eyes open on craigslist and on here, that's what I did. I hope you do post a pic, I'd like to see it.. even if it looks like a regular Frontier, it's YOUR Frontier. Show it off!
Congratulations on the acquisition! You'll be happy with it. I had to have the local dealer locate what I wanted.
Wildcat89 I don't mind telling everyone what I paid. Their have been other threads on this board about what others paid, which helped me when it came down to negotiating a price. Maybe my input will help others save.

So here is what I got. 2010 SE KC, with power package, 4cyl. 4x2, mats. Also GPS dock and sunglass holder ( parts only, they would not install at factory).
I paid $20,000.52 out the door. This included the $2000.00 cash back nissan is offering right now. As far as I can tell I paid about $430.00 over deal actual cost, this included dealer holdback. Its always hard to tell what the real cost of a vehical is, only the dealer and Nissan know for sure.
Congratz and post up some pic's!
you forgot to order two more cylinders... and a front diff.

He already explained that for his driving style he doesn't need 4wd and wants better gas mileage. Why pay for something if you're not going to use it? It also sounds like he will have this truck for a while considering driving a 97 Ranger for 12 years.

first of all, the title of this thread made me think "that's what she said" for some reason lol. 2ndly, i paid .52 cents less for my v6 manual SE w/ the power pkg and i get ~20-21mpg all the time, 23-24 on the highway. if you get any better out of the 4 banger let me know. it just doesn't have enough power for how heavy the new frontier's are... not trying to ruin your happiness with it, just sayin...
I got awful mileage with my 05 V6, thats why I traded it in and got my 08 4cyl.
We bought what we wanted/needed so why not let him bask in his own happiness.
Maybe that's all he could afford without choking on debt like many other people do. I laugh at those who wouldn't be seen in an Altima coupe but an Infiniti G37 made by the same company is fine. They won't buy a Camry but will drive a Lexus.
These are the reasons the economy is where it's at. Many people and corporations took tomorrows money and spent it yesterday.

Clint
yea i wasn't trying to rain on your parade OP, enjoy the new truck and enjoy the forums:thumbsup:
HKYStormFront: If you paid 20,000.00 for a brand new truck including taxes, license, fees and 200.00 worth of extra parts, you did damn well. Maybe the differnce in years I don't know, but believe me I shopped around. Besides I paid cash for my truck. That will always make a difference.

As far as power I guess it is what you get used to. This has plenty of power to move down the road. After driving a 4 cylinder Ranger you have no idea what under powered is.
