Ok, here's the senario. 3" of ice on a steep curvey gravel road. I mean this is some serious ice, it was so slick and smooth you could see the gravel through it. No one could make it up the road. We're talking an f150, a chevy 2500, an exploder, and a subaru. None that could make it. Well my mom calls me at home and she's off in the ditch trying to get up it so I drive up there to see if I can help. Now, not knowing about the other vehicle who couldn't make it I drive right up beside where she's off at and stop on the hill there. lol she's like "now you'll never get pulled out" it was great, never even turned an wheel, pulled right out. ... OK now longer story short I thought I could get in the ditch and pull her on out but I forgot, I don't have a truck with 35's on it anymore. So, after beating around, I finally got out of the ditch by putting a chain long ways infront of my back tire and with ONE tire that could get traction it dug the chain into the ice and shot out.... OK not done yet... so I was pedal to the metal coming out and shot out sideways and now I'm sideways on this solid ice hill. (just so you know how slick it was, you couldn't even walk across it, I was in my full Fire bunker gear and slide down it like 5 times) So I turned the locker OFF... made sure the traction control was on and eased out. The drivers side front tire was the only tire that was on snow and not ice. Well I'll be damned if that wasn't the ONLY tire that turned. It coudln't have been better.

sorry so long.

That was a good story. I'm glad I live in Oregon, where it snows rarely on the valley floor because I gave up the traction control upgrade and rockford system to get the truck with the color I wanted. Saved a few bucks in the deal to, but stories like this make me wish I hadn't.
