Well, I have been in contact with my local dealer, regional service manager, and Nissan customer care to remedy the bedside paint chipping I've been experiencing since I bought my truck in December. At first I was turned down my the local regional rep because he just stated that it was environmental and that it happens... Not a good enough answer for me... So, I talked to the service manager at my dealer and he told me to call Nissan again. I did and was not taking no for an answer. Through all of the talks, I continually pointed out the poor design that the bedside catches all road debris and finally Nissan has agreed to have my truck repainted. The appointment is in 2 weeks and they are even putting on a set of step bars and rock guard clearcoat to further protect it. I wanted to pass this along to everyone that if you're experiencing the same defect, go after the OEM... It worked for me.
