Looking for some more people to ride with because the little bro isn't very reliable. I know a lot of decent trails and ride down much faster than I ride up.

Any one?

I have an ironhorse warrior, kind of a trail bike I guess. Its like 5" travel and 35 pounds.

I recently heard of a place called vail lake near menifee. Know anything about it?

It is really hard I know that, but I have not done it personally. Right now its about 105 so it's a winter trail for sure. What are your favorite trails in SD?

I ride an Ellsworth Moment with 5in front and back as well. Currently I have a slightly bent front wheel (prior Mammoth trip), but it's rideable

I think this applies to about 90% of mtbrs. Lets leave the fast climbing to the roadies in spandex..... Too bad SD is like a 2 hour drive for me or I'd be down to check out some new trails. Are there any GOOD DH trails you know of out there?

For the past year or so I have been riding almost exclusively the tunnels in Penasquitos Canyon.
Those are fun. Have done a couple myself. When it gets cooler, we should meet up and go for a ride. I am in SD all the time becuase my family is down there. Have you done Anderson Truck Trail or Nobel Canyon yet?

There are not really any great true DH trails that I know of, but that's not to say there are none. If I really want to bomb DH, I go to Mammoth.

I have never done anderson but have wanted to for a while. I am definitely down to meet up for a ride specially if you can show me around anderson or nobel.

I have not done Anderson either, and I have not done Nobel in about 5 years. I moved from SD about 3 years ago and for me now Nobel would be an all day thing. But I am up for it again. I have a bunch of friends in SD that ride as it cools down, I will put a ride together and keep you posted. I dont ride much of the summer becuase I take a medication that make me overheat and I dont want heat stroke. But I guess thats TMI.

No one rides much in the summer. I went for a ride yesterday morning starting at 6 am just to avoid the heat and it was not fun getting up and going for a ride that early.

Yup east county. If you are familiar with the area, I live a couple exits north of the Miramar airbase and it is just about a 1 hour drive from me.

I have never been mountain biking there but I have seen people riding there when I have been wheeling. Actually, some of the rougher trails should make some decent drops with shorter DH runs.
