I don't think our transmissions are compatible with GL-5 synthetic fluid. There are quite a few posts on here saying it's bad for the synchros.

You're correct. Our transmissions need gl4. This stuff is actually rated gl4/gl5 and safe for the brass synchros. The gl4/gl5 rating is on the bottle. It doesn't directly say it's suitable for yellow metal on the bottle. Here's the technical from motul.
