Just tried to buy some more at another Kmart near home... no go at that one! Manager tried to get me for coupon fraud... wth. I told him to eff' off... i got it through the website! He was getting pushy so I threatened to call 911 to get it sorted out LOL ... of course he backed down. How in the hell can you treat a customer this way? Oh well :)

This was at the Lacey, Wa store... i guess the coupon wasn't supposed to be circulated nationwide and only for select stores in NY and IL but it doesn't say it on the coupon. Not my fault! That said I'm going back to the Kmart close to work on Monday :)

It reads that it's valid at ALL Kmart locations on the coupon.

Thanks for the info, I may try it. Up until a week ago the closest one to me was 115 miles but a fiend told me they moved back into their old building 30 miles away that they shut down about 9 years ago. The place was always a dump though, hopefully it will be better this time around. I guess they learned their lesson to pay attention to WalMart. But in Dallas they will never make it with Target and WalMart.

I just tried it too- though the base price for the oil was a tad high. Lady at the register read some notice taped to it saying that it was an unapproved circulated coupon-that they would not accept it in that location and were sorry for the inconvenience. ok so I cited from their website and valid in all stores... didnt matter, wasnt going to fight it further. Really didnt care at that point. fyi

Yep, bet they go bankkrupt in just a few years. With customer service like that who needs competitors to drive you out of business....they will do it themselves.

Kmart may be going down the crapper since they pay crappy, they don't have enough workers to stock and upkeep the store and it is always horrible trying to find someone to help if needed.

The only thing on their side is that they bought Sears so Kmart may die but Sears will live on.

Side Note: If you still believe Sears bought Kmart then you are an un-informed individual that needs to read more instead of just jumping to conclusions.

They have been that way in my area for at least 15 years now. I never bought very much from Kmart because Walmart is nearby and they service is always much better. I figured Kmart would have folded 10 years ago. They are still hanging around like roaches do. :)

Its funny, I used to work for Kmart until they closed a bunch of stores. Then I worked for them again until I graduated college and then I was out of there.

Their employee turnover is too high so it is hard to actually train anyone to do anything and they don't have enough people to make the training simple.

To give everyone a quick insight of how Kmart works its simple, you have 1 cashier, 1 front desk person, 1 manager, 2 softlines personel (all cloths and baby stuff), 1 electronics, 1 jewlery and housewares and then 1 to cover toys/auto/hardware/sports/pantry. They may have another stockmen for carts but that is usually the toys/auto/etc... person. Then if it is a weekend, they add a few more but that is it. Total employees to clock in/out in a day is probably no more then 20 which is pathetic since Walmart is 4 times the size and has probably 150 in/out.

Damn... i am reading over these responses and am feeling guilty for causing so much grief! I did go back to the original Walmart closest to work Monday; they did have the same sign up regarding the coupons.

I picked up 4 more bottles and with coupon in hand scanned the checkout islands for the youngest most un-intelligent checkout person i could. I thought i was going to get shot down but to my surprise it went through... i jetted out of there as fast as I could! LOL
