Hey I got an 05 frontier a few months back and after i sort out its tranny problems i want to start some mods wanting to get a 3" lift and some 33's to start and later Shrockworks front winch bumper and rear bumper and see how it looks. Joined the forum to compare trucks and see if anyone knew about the transmission problems that seem to plague these trucks. I have seen adapter kits to mount a chevy trubo 350 for Toyota's and others but no luck on finding one for nissan yet. At any rate looking forward to getting this trail ready and always open to suggestions.

I live by Warsaw about 15 mins from Truman. Right now I'm trying to locate an adapter kit to put a chevy turbo 350 transmission of my frontier or have it manufactured. Thats cool there are a lot of frontier owners in mid Missouri but i'll be leaving soon for creech afb in Nevada. Have you guys heard of any of these adapter kits? I have seen a lot for the tacos.

i was heavily researching what your looking for.
the only place i found is currently trying to make one, but hasnt completed it yet.
ill find the link for you.

found
trans link

try and get in touch with him, he may be able to help you out further.
i think i have seen one trans from gm on a vk buggy, but im not 100% on that
also, let me warn you. the can communication wires, and all the electronics that go into our transmissions. you may need to do a stand alone. you might be able to bypass, i dont know for sure.

i know of a company/race team that built a 7 sec 350z who has made and sold atleast 6 th350 adapter kits for 350Zs. Xtreme Race Cars the site is under construction currently but it gives an email address you can contact them with. i'd contact them. the bellhousing on the vq40 in your frontier is the same as the 07 and up vq35hr equipped 350Zs. well the tranny and the block itself are the same but the adapters they made so far are for the 03-06 vq35de equipped Zs which have a different block and smaller bellhousing then our motor and the HR motors. i'm not sure if they have prototyped an adapter for the HR motors or not yet so that would be something ask them. i'm not sure of anyone else that has made any adapters for a th350 to a newer nissan motor. hope this helps ya out
