Hi,
I'm new & I need some advice on my 2003 Frontier XE 3.3L Crew Cab. I suddenly had engine light come on (blinking) so I checked the codes and it was 0328, which is knock sensor and 0305, which is misfire on #5. So, changed oil, air filter, dist cap/rotor, fuel filter and spark plugs. The #5 plug had oil on it and I figured it was from a loose valve cover about a month prior. So, I figured doing the tune-up should have taken care of the codes but the truck was running rough and the check engine light started flashing again. This time it was code 0300 & again 0305. The catalytic converters were replaced last year, as well as oxygen sensors. So, I'm kinda stuck as to what I may have missed. The spark plug wires are good and the only other thing I can think of is the coil? (The thing under the distributor cap). Any ideas? Thank you!

Have you pulled the #5 plug again for a re-look?

No. Going to recheck that tonight/tomorrow. Thx!
Any reason the plug wires were left unchanged?
Did you try to swap the #5 wire to another cylinder?
I didn't change the wires because I didn't think I had to change them regularly. I'm kinda winging it because my boyfriend, who did all repairs, passed away a few months ago and I'm getting help from his friends and they can't agree on the time of day. So, I guess I'm buying spark plug wires. Lol I appreciate your help. I'm going to recheck the #5 plug tonight/tomorrow and hopefully figure out what's wrong. Thanks again!

Very sorry for your loss.
I'd replace the #5 wire and retest. Then pull the plug if needed and examine it again.
