06 almost 95k on my the only things gone wrong with mine was 2 wheel bearings both fronts fan clutch alternator and battery truck runs great

New guy to the forums so I figured I would come into a few threads and participate. I'm the 2nd owner of my 08, bought it 2 years ago with 67000 miles on it and have now 83000. Only problem I've had so far was with the battery that I had to replace (probably still the original), besides that, the truck runs great.

2006 here with 138,XXX on the dash and climbing. Only problems were fan clutch, wheel bearing, and alternator.

I'm sure the 2nd gen engine is just a retooled version of the KA24D type of engine right? If so then its been in everything from the Original Hardbody, the Sentra, the 240sx, the frontier gen 1 and. I am sure its something you will be able to clock 150,000 miles out of with no problems. My old 240sx had issues at about 130,000 miles with overheating and I changed the water pump and radiator out and it resolved the issues. You figure 130,000 miles and its gotta be due for a little work on the cooling system.

Negative. Its a QR25DE, which is common to 02+ Altima, 08+ Rogue, 02-12 Sentra (incl SE-R & SE-R Spec V).

KA = cast iron block, 86mm bore & stroke, 2389CC
QR = aluminum block, 89mm bore & 100mm stroke , 2488CC

I believe 07+ had non-block specific improvements (connecting rod material, cam profile, intake manifold changed from double metal to large plastic single, top secret anti-friction coating as seen on 2013 4.0L V6

2010 xe bought in October 2010 152.000 miles,1 front hub and 18 evap canisters and all the vales every time
Can you explain the repairs in a little more detail. Was front "hub" a wheel bearing? and you have had to replace your evap canisters 18 times? and 18 valve replacements too? Its unclear what you had done. Was the truck new when you purchased it? or used? Thanks for clearing this up.

Da da da Daaaaaaaaaaaaaa. I finally turned over 10,000 miles on my 03. Sadly, it was on the way to work yesterday............
I will be glad to give it its next oil change at 12k so I can tighten the a/c belt a bit, she is chirping once in a while again.

10K on a 10 year old truck. Dang do you have a lot of cars or do not drive much. Babying that 2003.

Naw, bought it with 2,400 miles on it from the widow of the owner. He came down with Alzheimers in 06 and the truck sat for nearly 6 years. It is such a perfect little truck, it is bare bones except for the Rostra cruise control I added.

2001 XE 4 banger
I have 200,000 on it and am about to change the ball joints.
The clutch is in great shape,but I had to replace the harmonic balancer 5,000 miles ago.
I use Marvel Mystery Oil in the gas periodically and am running Royal Purple 10-30 in the crankcase.

2015 frontier 75,000 miles, changed brake pads, front bearings but did not need to, the noise was actually the tires my bonehead didnt realize until after, rear shocks, battery and thinking its time for clutch, speaking of clutch, trying to sort thru threads about changing clutches for 4 cyl gen 2’s, anyone have tips or links to DIY?
