There is a 1/2" space between the molle board and the console which allows you to put pens, mail etc in it or your cel.

For weapons its in a nice place that you can access with out reaching over.

Is this plastic or metal? Whats the site to order from? I'm interested in 2 (one for each side). This is exactly what I was thinking of doing & would save me from alot of mistakes.

It's probably the same piece for both sides, just mounted with the hardware on the other side. I'm also curious to know what the material is...
