cabin filter.hahahahhahaha

but at 27k you should be fine with the basics. i know some people are super anal and will change trans fluids, front and rear diffs. some do plugs too.

but you really shouldnt need to do much. i would plan to do all fluids at 50k, or now if you drive your truck hard.

i just bought my 06 frontier with about 27k miles and since i got it (two weeks ago) i have so far only done an oil change. Because it is used and with no maintenance history, i'm going to do the diff and tran oil changes soon and do the "premium" service at 30k.

Sooooo speaking of maintenance. I did my first oil change today at 500 miles.

I am doing the hard break-in this time, so I wanted to get on it early.

Anyway, someday I hope to meet the guy who designed the front skidplate and oil filter access door so I can kick him in the nuts.

The skid plate is so thin that when you reach your hand through the access door it is literally razor sharp.

Funny story. Part 2 - - I sold a first Gen XTerra right before we got this truck. Gave the kid all the accessories to go with it, including a couple of oil filters I had on hand.

Get to the store to look up the part number for the new truck. Yup. Same as the old one. (groan) I was really expecting Nissan to go with something larger this time. Oh well, at least they ran 5.4 quarts, instead of 3.3 like before. So that's an improvement.

Reach around skid plate on passenger side - only thing I use access door for is to see through, and I only remove 1 screw and pivot it out of way.
