Yeah 1400 for both sides is kind of ridiculous. They do come with cats but then 900-1000 for a set of headers then is nuts.

I have an 01 which still has the separate manifolds and cats. I need to replace my cracked manifolds but I have had no indication that my primary cats are bad. However the truck does have 185k on the clock.

I'm having a hard time deciding whether I should pony up the extra cash to replace the cats. And if I do, are the one piece manifold/cats a better way to go?

The truck likely gets driven less than 1000 miles a year now. The original primaries may last the rest of the trucks life if I don't get a hole somewhere. I am going to delete the secondaries with the walker pipes though.
