OK guys and gals I'm looking for your 2 cents here. 06 with the loudest rad fan I have ever heard. When it starts if anyone on the block is outside they turn and look with that " What the #### is that?" Picked up this truck used and it is in very nice shape for 175k and yes it was loud when we test drove it. Just figured it was the fan clutch so no big deal. The fan was loud all of the time, cold, warmed up, and while driving. Put a new fan clutch on and it helped somewhat in that once it warms up you can talk to someone while standing by the truck without screaming. Still very loud when accelerating and still seems to be louder than it should be when on the highway. I have checked for blockages at the rad and condenser and their does not seem to be anything there, good air flow. I did notice that the fan pulley looks kinda small and thought that might be the issue. Small pulley compared to the crank would spin the fan faster. Anyone else have this complaint or have any thoughts on this?

It's not the electric fan for the a/c nor is it the fan shroud. With the hood up the amount of air blowing out is amazing. We also have a 04 Trailblazer and it has the same type of fan setup and when warm at idle the fan just turns nice and slow. It has a much larger fan pulley which is what caught my attention and made me think about the pulley in the Frontier. The TB has never sounded like a wind machine and I can't think of a reason why a Frontier should.
