Hey all, I just got home from vacation and I think I threw away my keys on accident before I left! I have been tearing the house and garage apart looking for them.

What is the best way to go get a replacement? I have my spare set but I always like to have 2 sets.

If you don't care much for the transponder setup with the keys, you can permanently bypass it and just get regular nissan keys cut.

How would I go about doing that? I didnt really care about the chip in the key, but i figured that would make it expensive to replace.

I have a drawing on my comp I made up which would make things easier to understand and explain. I'll send it to you when I find it.
I was in a similar situation when I did this bypass back in 06 when I was unable to find my spare keys during a move. Being lazy, I never removed it when I found my keys. I haven't had a problem yet using both the chipped and non-chipped keys. Beats going to the dealer or locksmith to get a key programmed.

So I'm ordering a used ecm, but isn't sure if it once used a chip key, so I need ur drawing to bypass it with my normal key.
