Anyone else had a problem with loss of power that occurred when starting up from a dead stop? It only happens every once in a while, but I will be stopped and start to pull onto a street of take off from red light, etc. and when I step on the gas very little happens. It will get me moving but just barely. I can give it more gas and essentially nothing changes, no increase in RPM or anything. As I push harder on accelerator, eventually truck will suddenly almost burn rubber taking off. It is strange and could possibly get me run over. Engine light does not come on.
Dealer has no clue. The problem only came up 3 times in entire month of February.
Any ideas?

As noted in your thread about towing, some info on your truck would be most beneficial. I suggest putting this crucial info in your signature.

Could it be traction control kicking in. THe ABLS really robs power if it senses slip. Icy roads? Do you get the slip light coming on?

Did you ever figure out the problem or solution.

Probably the BOT (brake override technology) system. If vehicle is moving and both accelerator and brake pedals are touched; brake will override accelerator. This can lead to some nasty surprises if not aware of cause.

IMO it sounds like traction control. I have it happen when I forget to push the button. I don't notice the light flashing because I'm looking at what I'm doing not the dash. When I do look down I have already backed off and the light is out anyway. I have three pedals, so being on the gas and brake at the same time is not generally an issue. Just my thoughts...

Sure it’s not hill control?

I've had the traction control come on as I was leaving the ski resort last week, but this particular loss of power is completely different. Like at a 4 way stop sign, it's my turn to go, press the gas from a dead stop and nothing happens. I was hoping it was just a glitch in the matrix, but it happened again since then... I quickly let off the gas and press it again and the power is there. It's happened to me twice now in the 2 months I've owned the truck. And now I know it has probably happened to someone else.

That happened to me there times. Each time right after I had changed from reverse to drive. But it hasn't happened in almost 2 years. Idk what caused it, but it stopped happening.
