Speaking just for my dealership and myself, I just had my 15K mile service (the 3rd one). On the first at 5K, they rotated the tires. On number 2, they didn't (10K miles) and on this last one a couple days ago, they did (the 15K). I had asked them about it at the 10K service and was given a similar answer and they did the rotation at 15K without prompting.
That said, I had a 2007 Ford Escape I bought new. It's recommended tire rotation interval was every 10K miles and two sets of tires lasted a total of 60K miles each set. So, in my humble opinion, I think as long as you don't see any unusual wear or handling issues, I don't think a 10,000 mile rotation cycle is tragically bad on these reliable trucks.
Just my 2 cents.
