Welcome aboard! I've never heard of the Fredom Tonneau from Xtang, and that picture sure doesn't show much! Looks like he's trying to sell the truck! Anyway, I have the Extang Trifecta, and can vouch for their quality! Also check out the Black Max, a few folks have that cover and really like it. It can probably be bought through autoanything.com for a bit cheaper with free shipping! Autoanything is a good company with excellent customer service. I would recommend them. Good luck, and welcome to the forum!

Does the Trifecta cause any wear to the bed rails? I have the bed rail caps, but I was just wondering if there is a seal on these or anything to prevent wear to the bed rail. I'll will probably end up getting one even if it does cause wear, since the rail caps are replaceable.

Also did any one notice a difference in their gas milage with this installed?

I found the Extang Trifecta at 4wheelonline.com for $296.99 shipped!

It has dense foam rubber pads along the rails, these also seal it against rain. I have not noticed any wear at all since installing it on my truck. As for gas mileage, it's hard to say, if it did increase, it wasn't much!

Thanks 05NISMO4X4!!

Another question: Does the Trifecta do any weird shrinking or deal with the weather at all?

I'm thinkin one of these will be on the way to my house real soon!! Unfortunatly, it will be taking the group buy if the JBA exhaust out of the picture for me now but I'm sure that will be the next thing to go on the truck.

In that case, it absolutely sucks in all kinds of weather!

Just Kidding! As much as I want you (and need you) to be part of this JBA Group Buy, I understand where you're coming from! The cover was much higher on my priority list than the exhaust, even though this JBA will be my 2nd exhaust system to go on my truck!

The Trifecta has held up very well in the cold! It was put on in Dec 05, so I haven't really had it in warm weather yet, but there is no problem with it in the cold. It's not like the snap or lip type closures where they're a PITA to close in cold weather. The vinyl is attached to the frame, and you just fold back the sections to open or close, so the frame does all the work giving you added leverage as you close it, no struggling with that last snap! :D

Thanks again!!
I think I was worried about the winter more than the summer.
If I weren't going on vacation this weekend I might be in for both the Trifecta and JBA Exhaust. But we'll see I might have some money left when I get back??!!

I just got an e-mail from David, he's still only got 5 confirmed orders, so there's probably time still. I know he's expecting to recieve his system either this week or next and I expect there will be more orders if it gets a favorable review! I'm kind of surprised he's gotten 5 already being as it's not even been released yet!

So I just got the Trifecta yesterday and put it on last night!! I was a little confused :? with the mounting hardware a first and the instructions I got were for a Titan (which had completly different hardware). After I figured it out it only took minutes to put in. Total time was about 20 minutes. It looks great as I expected and very easy to remove. It also provides a great seal around the whole bed (especially at the tailgate)which I was worried about a little. And until I figured out you could adjust the spring loaded clamps the back stuck up from the tailgate just a little bit. Anyway..................

Money well spent!!! 8)
